Therapy in Northampton with Lucy Ananda
This is a space to slow down and meet yourself with honesty and care. I support women and AFAB (assigned female at birth) clients through overwhelm, identity shifts, and life transitions, offering steady companionship as you find your way forward.
This includes people who don’t identify as women but were raised or socialised as female, and who carry the patterns, expectations, or emotional labour that often come with that experience.
I offer weekly 50‑minute therapy sessions for clients who want a confidential, grounded space to explore what’s happening within them.
Sessions are a chance to pause, notice your internal responses, and understand the patterns that shape how you feel and relate.
My role is to help you make sense of your emotional world in a way that feels manageable, respectful, and attuned to your pace.
What therapy can support
- anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or burnout
- the impact of past emotional neglect or developmental trauma
- people‑pleasing, self‑silencing, or losing your sense of self
- pressure to meet expected female roles or the good‑girl persona
- attachment patterns or relationship dynamics that feel confusing
- transitions such as motherhood, menopause, or midlife
- identity shifts or feeling disconnected from who you are
- difficulties with boundaries or emotional expression
- internalised autistic traits in adults socialised as female
- work and life demands that feel unsustainable
You don’t need to arrive with clarity. We begin wherever you are.
How I work
My approach is relational, trauma‑informed, and grounded in attunement. Together we:
- move at a pace that feels safe
- explore your internal responses with curiosity
- notice patterns that shape your relationships and self‑experience
- make room for what feels tender, heavy, or uncertain
- build a steadier, more coherent sense of self
This is a collaborative process where we make sense of things together.
